Our Story
Following the entrepreneur spirit of her father, Awesome Cleaning was founded in 2007 by CEO, Deboraha Parker. Deboraha served as a member of facility management for Naperville’s Dist. 204. During her tenure at Dist. 204, Deboraha served Waubonsie Valley and Neuqua Valley High Schools working for Aramark and Servicemaster. While working with Aramark/Servicemaster Deboraha learned the effectiveness of various solutions and grew a passion for making people happy through her cleaning. At Neuqua Valley Deboraha participated in S.T.E.P.S (Supported Training Experiences Post-Secondary). S.T.E.P.S is a program geared to coach students with disabilities on the protocols and procedures of cleaning and janitorial services.
Deboraha’s passion for cleaning and love for helping others birthed Awesome Cleaning and Janitorial Services in 2007. As a testament to Deboraha’s passion for cleaning, some of her initial clients were administrators of Neuqua Valley. Awesome has serviced the upscale communities of White Eagle of Shorewood, The Fields of Shorewood, Neufairfield in Joliet, and Prairie Trail in Plainfield. Awesome believes in helping its customers live a clean and peaceful life. With this mission in mind, Awesome reserves a small sector of its clientele for the under privileged. Although under privileged, Awesome gives their undivided attention to every customer regardless of economic status to meet their needs. Awesome believes their work isn’t “Awesome” until is has met or exceeded the expectations of their client. Awesome lives by the creed written by William A. Foster “Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention; sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.”
In 2019 the company was officially incorporated becoming Awesome Cleaning, LLC. Awesome is a family owned and operated business. Supporting Deboraha in the operations of Awesome are her sons Kevin and Christopher Parker. Kevin serves in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer and Christopher serves as Chief Financial Officer. Awesome is directed by its Board of Directors comprised of Deboraha, her sons Kevin and Chris and their wives Brandey and Tecara.
Deboraha is the mother 6 children and grandmother to 10 wonderful grandchildren. Deboraha loves to volunteer her time at her local church, Joshua Arms, a senior citizen assisted living facility, and multiple nursing homes in the Chicagoland area.

Deboraha Parker
Chief Executive Officer
Deboraha Parker serves as the CEO for one of the fastest growing cleaning corporations in the Chicagoland area. Deboraha started Awesome 13 years ago after working for Neuqua Valley High School and Aramark/Service Master for over 12 years. Neuqua Valley was home to 420 staff members and 4,167 students. During her tenure with Aramark/Servicemaster Deboraha learned the art of cleaning professionally. Deboraha provided students with physical/mental disabilities job skills that would help them successfully integrate into society after high school graduation. She also trained and supervised college interns each summer, teaching them a valuable skillset in which they can use in their future. Deboraha is the mother of 6 children and grandmother of 10 wonderful grandchildren. In her free time, she loves to volunteer at her local church and nursing/assisted living facilities in the Chicagoland area.

Kevin Parker
Chief Operating Officer
Kevin Parker currently works for the nation’s largest supplier of arts and crafts as an Operations Manager. In his current role he is responsible for the operation management which includes but not limited to planning, organizing and supervising an approximate 1 million sq. ft. facility with nearly 200 team members and over $10 million in assets. Kevin attended Joliet Junior College where he studied Business Management. Kevin is married to Brandey Parker and to their union 2 children were born, Kevin Jr. and Kennedy.

Christopher Parker
Chief Financial Officer
Christopher J. Parker serves as the Vice-President and Director of Community Banking for Wintrust Financial Corporation. He also serves as President for the Maywood-Proviso Rotary Club and serves on the board of Housing Forward. A Joliet native, Christopher attended Joliet West High School, Joliet Junior College and has since gone on to attend Grand Canyon University where he studied business management and organizational leadership.

Brandey Parker
Board Member
Brandey Parker is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice and a minor Child Psychology. She is currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University, where she is furthering her studies to receive her master’s in special education. Brandey has worked for Laraway CCSD for 12 years in several capacities including, secretary, para educator, interventionist for K-3rd grade, and volleyball and track coach.

Tecara Parker
Board Member
Tecara Parker graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education in 2004 and from Governors State University with a Master of Education in Educational Administration in 2009. Tecara has worked in the field of education for 16 years, 7 years as an English Teacher and 9 years as Dean of Students. She currently serves as coordinator for Joliet High School’s Pupil Personnel Services Department. Tecara is married to Christopher, they have been married for 5 years.
